Safeguarding Children
All holiday staff undergo a safeguarding process, are DBS checked, and vetted by the charity Trustees prior to the holiday. All staff are briefed on child protection issues, childcare procedures and basic first aid, qualified firstaiders are present on the holiday at all times. The Trustees and staff are very aware of the challenges faced by the children, from behavioural issues to homesickness. Prior to the holiday the staff are also made aware of any medical problems and the associated management. The holiday and all activities are risk assessed and covered by the necessary insurance policies.
